Michigan Housing has many different housing options that were constructed during different eras. This means that different buildings have different sized rooms housing different numbers of students!
We are not able to provide exact dimensions for every room. Many of our double rooms are 11 feet by 12 feet, but that’s an average that may not be the reality in each room.
For the 2024-2025 year, we are testing a new service with a company named Roomie. This year’s students will be able to try out this pilot service and provide feedback.
Testing out something new in 2024
Later this summer, Roomie will be able to provide you with a 3D model of your room. This will allow you to:
- Explore your room: see your room, take measurements, and play with different furniture layouts. You’ll receive your personal Roomie link with your housing assignment later this Summer.
- Design & shop for your room: Drag-and-drop items from your favorite brands to virtually design your room and purchase it all in one click
- Order for in-room delivery; Ditch the moving truck – select in-room delivery to get all your Roomie purchases delivered to campus and waiting for you on move-in day
