MANDATORY SUNDAY HOUSE MEETINGS

There is a mandatory meeting every Sunday, which constitutes an hour of work. The meeting time will be determined by the House members at the first House meeting of the year. Steering Committee members and the RD will report pertinent information concerning the House; residents’ concerns can be brought up and addressed. The Work Manager shall be in charge of taking attendance and maintain the Attendance Sheet at the Sunday House Meetings. Residents MUST email both the RD and the Work Manager, in the event of an anticipated absence. Each resident is allowed to miss one meeting per term. Excusable reasons for missing another meeting include a scheduled class, work, funeral, and personal medical emergencies. If a resident misses more than one meeting, that is not for an excusable reason, it will be important to engage in a discussion of the impact on the community and the resident will determine ways to repair the harm, which can include being assigned odd jobs.
