Northwood Air Conditioning Registration Form

All air conditioners must be registered in advance and installed by Northwood Community Facilities Staff. Only window air conditioner units or portable, self evaporating units may be installed.

Please allow a minimum of 8-10 business days for work to be completed. This could take longer in times of high demand. After you’ve submitted your request, please place your unit in the room you have chosen for installation and make sure there is clear access to the window. If extension cords are needed, please supply three-wire grounded cords with a minimum of 14-gauge rating.

Window Air Conditions: $75 installation fee (must be installed by Student Life Facilities staff)

Portable Self Evaporating Air Conditions: No Installation Fees (must be installed by Student Life Facilities staff)

Removal is free of charge. A Fix-It request should be submitted and the air conditioner in most instances will be removed within 24 hours. Please note that reinstallation fees will apply.

Cost for electrical consumption: All air conditioner fees, including installation, if applicable, and all monthly usage fees, will be combined and billed to your U-M account one time only. See here for rates and more info.

Agreement: I have read and agree to comply with the Northwood Community Apartments rules regarding air conditioners and certify that the number of BTUs listed is accurate: Violations are considered a breach of the Contract Agreement and are subject to an additional minimum $35 service charge per month.
