NORTHWOOD APARTMENT CHANGE REQUEST

Apartment Change requests are given priority over new applicants except for the months of June, July and August. Apartment changes are not offered in those months.

Michigan Housing takes into consideration the reason for the request, the date the request was submitted and the availability of apartments. Requests based on an increase or decrease in family size or financial need have priority over requests based on convenience.

University accounts must be current and in good standing.

Non-student residents are eligible for apartment changes within Northwood V ONLY.

Your apartment change request will remain active through the current contract year, duration of eligibility or until a apartment change is completed or cancelled by the applicant or by the Housing Information Office.

If an apartment is offered, you will have 48 hours to accept or decline the offer. Be specific with your request (e.g. apartment type, area, dates and any other special needs.)

If an apartment is offered to you and it is declined, your apartment change request will be cancelled and you will need to submit a new request.

Michigan Housing reserves the right to deny an apartment change request for any reason, including but not limited to, an outstanding balance on your account, contract violations, housekeeping concerns, or damages to the current apartment.
