Multicultural Councils

In addition to a hall council, each residential community has a multicultural council that aims to engage residents in diversity education and cultural awareness. Each multicultural council differs due to the diverse needs of students in residential communities. Multicultural councils organize community-wide events, develop students’ leadership skills, and provide diversity education for both council members and residents. Multicultural councils are advised by the Diversity Peer Educator(s) of each community. Multicultural council membership and council meetings are open to all residents of the community; board elections take place at the beginning of every year.

If you are interested in a leadership position or want to learn about council meeting times, contact your community’s DPE. For DPE contact information, visit your Community Center.
