Family Housing 2016-2017
University Housing offers housing for students with families and postdoctoral research fellows with families in our Northwood Community Apartments. Faculty, staff and other non-students with a University of Michigan affiliation are not eligible for University Housing and should seek off-campus housing options.
Northwood Community Apartments and Townhouses
Northwood is a vibrant apartment community, housing hundreds of families and graduate students on the University of Michigan's North Campus. Comprised of 21 buildings in five beautiful and interconnected areas, Northwood is operated by the University and includes nearly 1100 apartments. For both townhouses and apartments, you pay directly to the University of Michigan as part of your student bill, and there is no application fee or security deposit.
Northwood IV & V
Townhouses in Northwood IV & V offer space and amenities for families with children. Each unit features a main floor living space separate from upstairs sleeping spaces, as well as a basement with room for storage. Washers and dryers are provided, and residents can take advantage of on-site parking.
