FAQ – Lawyers Club Returning Resident Housing 2025
Q: Will every student who registers for Lawyers Club Returning Resident Housing receive on-campus housing for the 2025-2026 year?
Yes! This year, 75 residents registered for this process and we have allocated space in Lawyers Club for 75 returning students. All those who registered for the Lawyers Club Returning Resident Housing process will be able to select a Lawyers Club space on February 25th.
Q: Why can’t I select a room during the Lawyers Club Returning Resident Housing room selection?
Possible reason:
- A Returning Resident Housing registration was not submitted. Please note the deadline to apply was Friday, February 14th, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST.
Q: Can I select my current room during room selection?
- If your current room has not been selected by another student, you are welcome to select the room.
Q: What are the February 25 selection timeslots and how are they determined?
If you successfully register for Returning Resident Housing by Friday, February 14th at 11:59 pm EST, and will participate in the February 25 self-selection day, Michigan Housing will send you your timeslot on February 18.
The timeslot is the start time that you will have access to search for and select a space. You will not have access before that timeslot start time. You will have until 5:00 pm EST on February 25 to select a space, regardless of when your timeslot began.
Timeslots are determined randomly.
Q: When I select my space on February 25, is there further action I need to take to secure on-campus housing?
Yes! If you are able to select a space on February 25, later that week we will send you a housing contract for the space you selected. After we send you the contract on Thursday, February 27, you will have until Tuesday, March 11 at 5:00 pm EST to submit the contract.
Contracts not submitted by the deadline will be canceled.
Q: I cannot find any rooms that meet my medical needs.
- As the Returning Resident Housing process is self-selection, the expectation is that you are aware of your needs and should self-select a space that meets those needs. Please be aware this may mean selecting a space that does not meet all of your needs. Should you require additional accommodations assistance, please contact [email protected].
Q: How can I plan for 2025-2026 rates?
- Room rates are reviewed and approved by the Board of Regents on an annual basis, typically in late June. Please see information here regarding the current Graduate Room and Board Rates.
