The Connector

In 2015, The Connector was opened as an expression of Housing's commitment to celebrating and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Through our programs and events the space brings residents together where they can engage with different perspectives, identities, and experiences. The Connector is a place where everyone in the Housing community can find support and a sense of belonging.

The primary community of The Connector is the residents of the central campus neighborhood and is intended to support the community development of the residential community. Therefore, use of The Connector's common and reservable spaces must support the needs of the residential communities and the mission of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion. Events should be inclusive and open to housing residents. The spaces are not available for private events such as closed meetings or events that charge an entrance fee.

The reservable spaces within The Connector can be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. For the entire reservation policy and to make reservation for The Connector, please email theconnectorreservations@umich.edu. Reservation requests must be made at least five full business days in advance of the date of the proposed event. Submitting a request does not guarantee that the event will be approved.

During the 2017-2018 school year (September through May), The Connector will be open to community members during the following hours:

Monday - Friday

7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

6:00 p.m. - midnight (access for central campus housing residents only)

Saturday  

10:00 a.m. - midnight (access for central campus housing residents only)

Sunday  

12:00 p.m. - midnight (access for central campus housing residents only)

Closed: Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break
