West Quad & Cambridge House
541 Thompson Street
Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1360
West Quadrangle is a co-ed residence hall located on Central Campus. It is connected to the Michigan Union by Cambridge House, which features rooms for upper level undergraduates.
West Quad and Cambridge House will be closed for extensive revonation beginning in the spring of 2014 and reopening for the 2015 fall term. The revonation is part of the university's Residential Life Initiatives, a planned capital project launched in 2004 to improve on-campus living and dining facilities and to strengthen the connection between living and learning.
The building's infrastructure will be upgraded. When students return to West Quad and Cambridge House, they will enjoy renovated student rooms and bathrooms, improved accessibility, and remodeled community and study spaces. The previous West Quad dining hall will be repurposed into new social and study spaces for residents. Meal service will be provided by the new central campus dining center at nearby South Quad and at other dining halls.
