Welcome Residents!
Hello, and welcome to Northwood Community Apartments!
We are pleased to have you join our neighborhood. As a resident of
Northwood, you are part of one of the most vibrant and diverse residential
areas on campus. We hope you enjoy your time here as you continue your
education both inside and outside of the classroom.
If
you have any questions or concerns about your stay at Northwood, you can
drop by the Northwood
Community Center on McIntyre Drive where there are people who will
be happy to answer your questions and address your concerns.
Your Community Aides are a
great resource to help you meet your neighbors and learn about the Northwood
area. If you are a transfer student, your CAs can also help connect
you with campus resources. Look for flyers and emails from your CAs about
Northwood events. Your CAs will also deliver the monthly Community
Focus newsletter that has information you will need to make your
stay in Northwood the best it can be.
We encourage you to get involved with both Northwood III and the greater
Northwood Community. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities,
there is a lot you can do to help your Northwood neighbors. The English
language program is always looking for conversation partners to help
Northwood residents of all ages learn English.
The Child Development Center has many opportunities for those
interested in working with children. Your Community Aides would love to hear your ideas
for group service activities.
Please visit the main
Northwood page or look out for the Community
Focus for more information about events and volunteer opportunities.
We will also have a lot of information in your check-in packets when
you arrive on campus.
Getting involved and just hanging out is a great way to meet your neighbors and classmates.
Northwood III has a basketball court and a volleyball net as well as many open grassy areas, so pickup sports are always an option.
You can check out sports equipment at the Northwood
Community Center. If you are looking for something to read, drop by the North Place and grab
a book off of the book swap shelf. Consider joining the Northwood III Facebook group for a
virtual extension of your Northwood neighborhood.
