Community Center
This 14,500 square foot facility is in many ways the heart of the Northwood community. The Child Development Center and English Language Program are housed here as well as an equipment distribution and information desk, conference room, and the Northwood Community Apartments administrative offices. The Community Center also has a large multipurpose room with adjoining kitchen and outside deck. Residents may rent rooms at the Community Center for private events. In addition, a room at the Center is set aside during the end of each term for quiet study space. Children's playground equipment, designed for elementary school-aged children, is located in the spacious yard behind the building.

The many services available at the Center include photocopying, fax transmissions, Notary Public, parking permits, vending machines, a resident bulletin board, and a fireplace lounge with daily newspapers. Also, many items are available for loan, free of charge, including sewing machines, car battery jumper cables, sports equipment, vacuum cleaners, handcarts for moving, and light hand tools.

Building Hours
The Community Center building is open during these hours:
Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am-9:00 pm.
Friday 7:30 am - 10:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am - 10:00 pm
Sunday: closed

The Administrative Office in the Community Center is open from 8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday. Staff in the administrative office can be reached at #764-9998.

24-hour key assistance is provided by Northwood Community Apartments to residents with proper identification. Charges may be assessed for repeated requests.
