Eligibility
It is the Housing staff's goal to select the most qualified applicants without regard to age, gender, sexual orientation or identity*, race, physical handicap, religion, national origin, or any other distinction which does not directly relate to job requirements; however, applicants who have the highest eligibility status for the type of apartment under consideration are given stronger consideration when all other factors are equal. Occupancy requirements for the size of apartments will be considered in making placements. University Housing strives to hire a Community Aide staff who collectively reflect the diversity of the community. We advise that applicants consult with a Financial Aid Counselor if you receive any financial assistance from the government or University sources. Some scholarship programs limit the types of employment that are allowed under their guidelines. Applicants who have an international visa are eligible to apply for this position. Since the compensation is offered in the form of a staff apartment, a work permit is not required. Before extending position offers, University Housing staff will need to verify that each applicant is in good standing with the University academically, financially, and within the Housing conduct system. Contact Candra Gill at #764-9998 with any questions.
